MAX
MAX
Max is an older cat who had many of his bottom teeth pulled. Because his top teeth were digging into the bottom gums, his mouth wasn’t healing. He was also losing weight.
When Max and I communicated, the first thing I asked him was, “How are you feeling today?” Immediately I could feel pain on the left side of my head. I heard from Max, “Noise. Too much noise. Her worry is too much noise.” I asked what his recommendation would be to his person to calm down. He advised, “Breathe. Take a walk. Get away from what she sees as me suffering.” I let his person know and she will do her best to relax and calm down so Max can calm down.
I asked him what is happening in your mouth and he said it is healing. He is hungry and asked for special moist cat food, preferably with fish. His person is concerned about a urinary tract infection and has him on food from the veterinarian. We talked about commercial cat foods that are available for cats with urinary track infections and she will do a search for something Max can eat and talk to her vet about it.
I asked him if he wants to leave his body and his response was, he wants to continue healing.
Max's person has reported Max is gaining weight on his new food and his mouth is almost healed. She has calmed down which has helped Max in his healing process.

LINK
LINK
I have been speaking with a dog at the local animal shelter who runs away whenever he has a chance. Today he showed me a picture of himself running in the clouds. He feels trapped, which of course is natural being at an animal shelter.
He is waiting at the shelter for his perfect person. From the message he sent today, the perfect person is someone who would take him for daily exercise, preferably running. You, as a human, know how it feels to be free. This is what Link is looking for.
The shelter is making sure the perfect person adopts him to prevent his running.
Shortly after Link and I met, the perfect couple did adopted him. They have a dog companion for Link to play with and take the dogs to the dog park for a run. Link found his forever home and as far as I know hasn't tried to run away.

CANDACE
Candace came from a situation where over 60 cats were kept in one room. They have all been rescued and my local animal shelter took several of the cats. Candace didn't trust people and didn't allow herself to be touched. When I spoke with her she told me she was stepped on by a person as a kitten and she doesn't trust humans. She did tell me she would trust only one person and that was the cat room supervisor.
I relayed this information to the supervisor and suggested some emotional freedom technique (tapping) and progressive steps for petting. The supervisor has gained the trust of Candace. The latest report I received is Candace allows all the volunteers to pet her and she is a total love.
Candace has been adopted into her forever home. The person is aware of Candace's background and is treating her with lots of patience and love.

JOHNNY CAT
JOHNNY CAT
Johnny Cat left his body in the winter of 2021. After struggling with cancer for several years, it got to the point he couldn’t hold his food down. He was hungry but he couldn’t eat.
Cheryl and her husband tried to help him feel better, but eventually they couldn’t and decided it was his time to leave his body. Cheryl wanted to communicate with Johnny Cat to learn how he felt about being euthanized and what he felt about them having to do this.
Johnny Cat and I met a couple of days before I spoke with Cheryl. I wanted to get some comments from him that Cheryl could verify we made contact. She told me the responses I received abut his favorite toy, his food and where he slept were right on. I asked her to send me 10 questions she wanted to ask Johnny Cat. We had previously made an appointment for a phone conversation.
Because I know all of you have lost a pet and wondered similar questions, I am highlighting a couple of questions and Johnny Cat’s answers here.
“We had to have you euthanized during Covid. What was it like for you laying in my lap in the car and drifting off to sleep?” “I was nervous at first, even though you told me ahead of time. I didn’t know what to expect. It was real peaceful. There was no pain anymore.”
“Are you aware we felt badly we couldn’t help you feel better, as hard as we tried?” “Yes. I don’t blame you for anything. I understand.”
“How did you feel when I came into the den in the middle of the night to sit with you on the couch?” “I told Cheryl I felt love in my heart when Johnny Cat said,” “I knew you loved me. I liked you sitting with me. It felt comforting.”
There were many more questions, but I want to get to the highlight of the reading: As we were saying goodbye, there was so much love exchanged between the three of us, I could hardly move. And we said goodbye to Johnny Cat with the light of love surrounding us.
2/10/22
Thank you Barbara for yesterday's session with Johnny Cat! I was profoundly moved by the love we both felt from him. I feel what I most got out of our session was a sense of forgiveness, if you will, and the lovingness to be able to move on, letting go of feelings of angst. Relating what we talked about to Karl, I could see he felt that peace of mind as well. Thank you my friend!
